Provides legal advisory services to a leading universal bank in the country, specifically its Information Systems Group (ISG), including preparation and review of contracts for (i) hardware supply and maintenance; (ii) ATM deployment and outsourcing; (iii) software development, licensing and maintenance of various online banking platforms, payment systems and mobile applications; (iv) cybersecurity, as well as security and/or penetration testing; and (v) IT staff augmentation
Assisted clients in the preparation of legal and regulatory framework, as well as standard templates for agreements and/or instruments that guide our clients in their usual course of business
Assisted clients in addressing potential legal, commercial and security issues identified by the bank’s internal audit team
Provides legal advisory services to local corporations, including small and medium enterprises, in the use of digital ecommerce platforms, including providing legal advice on data privacy compliance, drafting of data privacy policies and/or manuals and the preparation and conduct of Privacy Impact Assessment;
Assisted and advised clients in the preparation, drafting and review of the online platforms’ Terms of Use, FAQs, Data Privacy, Security and Warranty Policies, trademark and copyright registration and enforcement, and on matters of trademark protection, intellectual property, domain acquisition and portfolio management;
Provided legal advice and preliminary assistance to a local corporation in its potential acquisition of shares in a foreign financial technology company specializing in B2B (business to business) transactions within the region, including the Philippines, for the purpose of conducting limited due diligence and outlining the existing regulatory framework in the Philippines;
Reviewed the existing data privacy platforms of several local corporations to identify potential problematic areas and provided recommendations to address potential breaches in the company’s data privacy and security;
Acted as a legal consultant to a local software development company in its development and testing of a data privacy software, ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act of the Philippines, local rules and regulations, as well as the General Data and Protection Regulation;
Provides legal advice and collaborates on the setting up and incorporation of a potential operator of a payment system and e-commerce platform, including compliance with the regulatory requirements of BSP, SEC and other relevant government agencies.
